Donate to Support Worthy Mental Health Causes

Every contribution to mental health support and suicide‑prevention advocacy and support helps build a world where people are met with compassion, understanding, and real pathways to safety.
This work is not abstract or distant. I have been impacted by suicide significantly, and I have experienced firsthand how powerful it can be when communities come together to support and protect one another. I have also seen how devastating the gaps can be when support is missing. That is why this cause sits at the center of my values, my work, and my commitment to others.
Your donation, large or small, directly strengthens the organizations, educators, crisis‑response teams, and community partners who show up every day for people in pain. These are the people who answer late‑night calls, who train volunteers, who build school‑based programs, who guide families through moments of fear and uncertainty, and who work tirelessly to ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Two organizations in particular stand at the center of that work for me: Take This and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Each plays a vital role in supporting people who deserve to be seen, valued, and cared for.
Take This
Take This is one of the most important organizations in the gaming world, and a community I’m proud to be part of. They work to make gaming spaces healthier, safer, and more compassionate by providing mental‑health resources, research, and education tailored specifically to players, developers, streamers, and industry professionals.
For many of us, gaming isn’t just a hobby. It’s a community, a creative outlet, a place where friendships form and stories unfold. But it can also be a space where stress, burnout, harassment, and isolation take a toll. Take This steps into that gap with expertise, empathy, and a commitment to making the gaming world better for everyone.
While it began with a mission to support gamers, developers, and industry professionals, its work now reaches into broader digital communities, creative industries, and online culture at large. Take This has become a trusted voice in understanding how digital environments affect mental health generally. Their research, training, and public‑education efforts help shape healthier online ecosystems, reduce stigma, and promote psychological safety across a wide range of digital interactions.
Your donation helps support:
- Mental‑health resources
- Training for studios and creators
- Research on mental health in gaming communities and online communities
- Safe, supportive spaces at conventions and events
- Public education on harassment, burnout, and online well‑being

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
AFSP is one of the most comprehensive, research‑driven, and community‑rooted organizations working to prevent suicide and support those affected by it. Their mission spans science, education, advocacy, and compassionate care—creating a network of support that reaches individuals, families, workplaces, schools, and entire communities.
For me, supporting AFSP is not theoretical. Suicide has touched my life in ways that are personal and lasting. Their work reflects the kind of world I want to help build: one where people feel seen, supported, and connected long before they reach a point of crisis.
Research
AFSP is one of the largest private funders of suicide‑prevention research in the world. Their grants support scientists studying the biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors that influence suicide risk.
Education
AFSP develops and delivers educational programs that help people recognize warning signs, respond with care, and build supportive environments.
Support for Survivors of Loss and Attempt
AFSP provides compassionate, structured support for people who have lost someone to suicide or who have survived an attempt. These experiences can be isolating, overwhelming, and deeply complex. AFSP ensures no one has to navigate them alone.
Advocacy for Policy and Access to Care
AFSP is a national leader in advocating for mental‑health legislation, improved access to care, and policies that reduce suicide risk.
Community Events
AFSP’s Out of the Darkness walks and community events create spaces where people can honor loved ones, raise awareness, and build solidarity. These events remind us that we are not alone—and that healing and hope are collective efforts.
